Who we are

sōtem Data Lab is run by Mondaily. You work with us as an independent contributor, not as an employee. There are no shifts, no minimum hours and no exclusivity: you choose if, when and which tasks you do.

Joining

You must be 18 or older and use one account only, in your own name. To work in a dialect you first pass a short spoken screening, judged by a native speaker of that dialect.

Tasks and pay

Every task shows its pay and its expected time before you start. A task is never published below $12.00 per hour for its expected time, and it is only offered while the project's budget covers it.

A task you start is reserved for you for 30 minutes. You can give it back at any time without penalty.

Work is reviewed by native speakers or checked against a known answer. Approved work is added to your balance once; rejected work is not paid and always comes with a written reason. If you think a decision is wrong, contact support with the reason shown.

Payouts

Payouts are made by PayPal to the address you give us. When your available balance reaches $10.00 you can request the whole balance; Mondaily sends requested payouts in batches. A payout PayPal fails or returns is credited back to your balance.

You are responsible for any tax on your earnings where you live.

Your work and your recordings

Text you write for tasks (transcriptions, translations, ratings) belongs to Mondaily once submitted.

Recordings need your separate voice consent (version 2026-10-04). With it, you grant Mondaily a worldwide, perpetual licence to use, modify and sublicense the recordings to train and test speech models and to include them in speech datasets licensed to Mondaily's customers.

Your voice is never cloned, synthesised or used to imitate you unless you separately agree to that in writing.

You can withdraw voice consent at any time in your profile. After that no new recordings are made or used; recordings already delivered in anonymised datasets cannot be recalled from customers who received them.

Fair play

No automation, no copying other people's work, no recordings of anyone but yourself, no sharing task content outside sōtem Data Lab.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules. You always see the reason.

Changes

When these terms change, the version number changes and you are asked to accept the new version before your next task.
