These are some of the questions we have been asked over time and a few of the questions you might ask:

Q1. Why Monday and not Tuesday or any other day of the week for that matter?

A1. Because I hated Mondays before I started this project. After starting this project, I hated Mondays even more until a certain point since they started to be waited for just as Fridays. I wanted to have to make me look forward Mondays and I can honestly say I have that now.

Q2. Why about art and not about, let’s say, stock exchange?

A2. I have always enjoyed reading good books, looking at beautiful paintings or photographs while listening to a wonderful song. I spend most of my time online and most of that time on art related web sites. The idea for MonDaily came to me when watching a certain photo [I am very sorry I cannot remember what photo] I began thinking of what others think of that certain photo and two days later MonDaily was being born.

Q3. Why only these domains? Why not more?

A3. These domains were chosen because of their ability to be reproduced online without losing any of their original charms. We will be adding other domains as the team will grow.

Q4. What is with the two hands on the bottom of each post?

A4. The two hands symbolize the actual creation of everything [or at least that is what they symbolize to us].

Q5. Can someone suggest a product for The Suggestions page?

A5. Yes, you can make suggestions for The Suggestions page but we do not guarantee that we will publish your suggested product if it does not meet our standards.

Q6. What does the “Affiliation” mark mean on the right of some suggested products?

A6. The “Affiliation” mark that you can see on some of the suggested products is to let you know that MonDaily gets a percentage of each sale that takes place after clicking that link. This way, we are generating some financial income that will help keep the site afloat. So, when buying a product sold through an affiliation [marked with "Affiliation"] you are also helping us.

Q7. On what time zone does MonDaily run?

A7. As MonDaily intends to cover events from around the world and already has visitors from all continents, we have decided to run on GMT [Greenwich Mean Time]. But do not expect the new issue to appear at precisely 0:00 GMT every MonDay. Even though sometimes it will appear at precisely that time, there will be weeks when it can be published either in midday, either nearing 12:00pm GMT of that certain MonDay. We appologize for that, but we cannot forsee every problems, especially with our background where problems are concerned. Thank you for understanding.

Q8.When will the Art Map be launched?

A8.We hope to have it all done by October 10th. Unfortunately, the amount of information is simply discouraging and when we are working on it we have only one thought in our minds “one down ten million to go” [exaggerating of course].

Q9.What does the little beta mark on the top shelf mean?

A9. The beta mark on our top shelf tells you that our site is still in its beta version and you might come across some bugs, especially in older browsers. If you come across some of those nasty little bugs please contact us at contact@mondaily.com telling us about it. Thank you!

Q10.Why are you placing all your photos on that black background and how long does it take you to do that?

A10.We are placing all the photos that we feature on MonDaily on that black background because we want to prevent theft. How does this help preventing theft? Every week we use http://www.tineye.com to search for some of  the photos [not all, but enough, randomly selected] we have featured in the past. What Tin Eye does is tell us if those photos appear on other sites. Without that background, we could not know if they were taken without permission from MonDaily or from other sites [whenever we find such a case, we notify the rightfull owner of the certain photo immediately.] How long does it take us? Well, we use batch resizers to bring them down to size, we place them in a folder and after that the macros step in. We have recorded several macros that do everything for us in very little time – we keep them on super fast speed.
