Comment and win a design for your site
In our apology, we were mentioning something about a surprise, remember? Great, now, let’s get to it as I am sure you are very eager to find out what all this is about.
Last week, Steve Shanks and Ann Harper sent us an email. That’s how it all began. We talked and in the end they got themselves a new site and we got ourselves a couple of great artists as friends [ok, we got a bit more out of this and for that we are very grateful to them]. Good, but what does that have to do with the surprise?
As we have said in our manifesto, we would like nothing more than to help artists that are the beginning of their online experience. Starting from now, all the comment authors of MonDaily will be automatically enrolled into a contest [so make sure you use your real email when commenting] [Note: we will only send you an email if you win. You will never receive an unsolicited email from MonDaily.]
At the last day of the month, we will choose one random author as the winner [if you make more comments, your name will be introduced in our database as many times as the number of comments you have written during the certain month].
Fine, but what is the prize? The prize is a free custom design [or redesign] for your site! If you are a photographer, painter, writer or involved in any other art domain and wish for a complete makeover of your site, or you are a blogger and want a distinct theme for your blog and do not dispose of the certain amount of money needed for this make sure you comment as often as you can on MonDaily and get your chance or chances to win our monthly prize. Alongside the custom design for your site you will also get a link in our AYA Award Page.

Rules:
+ The authors of off topic comments or of comments of less than five words will not be introduced in the database of the contest.
+ There is no limit to how many comments you can post. For every RELEVANT comment you will make, your name will be introduced in the database of the contest. Example: Write five comments, your name will be introduced five times in our database.
+ If you have commented on an article this month, your name will not be in the contest’s database the next month.
+ You can comment on absolutely any article on MonDaily, regardless of the date the certain article has been posted on.
+ MonDaily does not offer a domain or a hosting plan, JUST THE DESIGN OF THE SITE. You will have to own a domain and a hosting plan or buy them after being selected as the winner of the certain month.

your contest seems very tempting but it seems that not a lot of people are crowding the comment form on your site. why’s that?
Well Jenny, we are still at the beginning and our site is not as known as we would want it to be, but we are getting there with each day that passes. Thank you for your support!
i think this is a great way to drive traffic to your site, but it seems like that would be a lot of extra work do you use templates as the contest prize? and will the prize jsut be a design or will you need to see an existing site? I absolutly love your site design! how is the winner chosen???

Thank you for appreciative thoughts regarding our site and this little contest of ours. Indeed, we have started this for driving more traffic and getting more comments on our site but for another reason as well. Artists that are at the beginning of their journey, do not necessarily have the financial resources to invest in a design worthy of their portfolio and most often will get stuck with a somewhat dull design. We do not use templates, we talk to the winner, let him/her know about his life/art and everything in between, we chose the colors and structure together, and after that our team works its magic. Every comment author will be enlisted in our database and at the end of the month, after publishing the complete list of author – for transparency reasons [don't worry, your emails will never be shared/sold/disclosed] – with the help of a random number generator, we will “chose” the winner. For your two comments so far, your name will be posted twice in our database, thus you increase your chances with every comment you make
I am in too and with a few questions about this little contest of yours.. can i have a custom design on .wordpress.com ? If no, how much will it cost me to get a site or whatever i need? please get back to me as soon as possible on this. If i don’t have a site and i cannot buy what i need for you to give me the custom design what will happen? i’m sure many others have been asking themselves the same thing…

Unfortunately, no you cannot have a custom design on a site hosted freely on wordpress.com as for how much it would cost you well, it depends on where you want to buy both the domain name and the hosting plan.
